I was off roading and drove through a 10" puddle to fast and my new URD Cold Air Intake sucked in some water and the truck stalled and refused to start. Eventually, I called the tow truck and they haulled me out. I'll find out on monday whats up.... Cross your fingers for me if you read this.

I find that absolutely absurd that its hydro-locked. You said a 10" puddle?

You need to use punctuation man, that run on sentence made no sense.

If your engine turned over it when you tried to restart it, it probably wasn't hydrolock. Having water in a cylinder is the same as having it filled with sand or steel. It won't compress and the force of the effort to turn over the engine can bend the rods. You may know all of this, but I thought I'd put this out there for others tracking works like "hydro-lock."

It was a 10" puddle...I guess if it was long that would make sense but a silly 10", still trying to picture it.

    Yup.

    Most likely just wet electronics.

10" puddle is pretty deep and can really fuck things up at 50mph.

Remove the spark plugs and crank the engine to get the water out. (or to see if any even got in there).

i hope its just wet electronics, but the engine wouldn't turn over after it stalled... I just hope they can pull the spark plugs and get the water out and everything starts back up. I really don't want to rebuild by engine. May be time for a snorkel.

nope but now im googling what a water sleeve is.

Cant find info on water sleeves. Its pretty self explanatory what they are. Now only if I had a time machine.

And anyone who says driving through puddles fast isn't fun is crazy.

Should have had a snorkel for that 10" puddle :) could be wet electronics. how did it stall? slowly die out or did it come to a screeching halt?

its really hard to say i was motoring pretty hard cuz there was a lot of mud and water was spraying everywhere and then it wasn't and i was like " did it just stall" as i rolled to a stop....

Mind you i'd been going through 2ft puddles for an hour at this point with out an issue. it was the last puddle of the day though that I hit hard, like a dumbass, and the rest is history...
