Whats up all? Not in TN yet, I am in San Antonio. However, I am job hunting in the Knoxville area and we are hoping to be up there in the next year or so. Looking forward to meeting up with the TN Taco crowd. Hopefully there is some better wheeling up there than here in TX.

hey man. i’m a little north of knox(most just call knoxville knox here) i would try and stay out of east and south knox if you can. east know is just considered the bad part. and south just has A LOT less and farther from stuff. north is good i kinda grew up in the Halls/ Powell area. also if you want to get out of the “city” andersone county is pretty close.(clinton, andersonville,Norris, oak ridge) there is some small farms in the andersonville area. and it’s only about 25 min or so from most in knox.

got wind rock in oliver springs TN. also atvs their is brimstone and royal blue witch i go to the most. can even take trucks/jeeps to royal blue.

mind if ask what kinda job you looking for?

Sure, I know the Powell and Halls area pretty well. Most of my family is from Knoxville and the surrounding area. I still have a lot of family in Powell (McCarty's off Emory Rd.) and Halls (Humphries originally on Salem Church), and my original family there were the Straders (which Strader Road is named for). I also have a brother in Nashville and several cousins around Jamestown.

I am looking for a pretty senior level IT job, and not having a lot of luck in Knoxville so far. I have dropped a few resumes out at Oak Ridge, but nothing yet. I checked every major employer in Knox and there just isn't a lot going on in IT there.

We've also considered Chattanooga as an option if Knoxville doesnt work out. Nashville would be my last choice. Memphis isn't even on my radar, not even a consideration. :)
