I work for one of the largest industrial supply companies companies on the planet, McMaster-Carr Supply. I was a Purchasing agent for the west coast location for many years prior to all purchasing being moved to our corporate headquarters in Chicago, all buying for the five branches is now done from Chicago location.
I now work as a "specialist" working invoice problems (invoiced for more or less then we received and so on) and working with suppliers on resolution on defective and incorrect product, it will be 32 years this October.
This privately held company is phenomenal, I have killer health insurance, deferred and cash profit sharing and they put both of my sons through collage. While it has offered it's major headaches over the years, this company has been a blessing to myself and my family.

Good to hear. I support this company and in turn support your family. I buy fabrication items and other things from McMaster-Carr and have had good service from them. A friend told me about them. Quick delivery.

I'll play. I am in Pest Management. Or an "Exterminator", if you wanna be a dick about it. LOL. Nah. My family and I own our own state wide pest control business. It's an interesting career, to say the least. I also do music on the side. I've played in various locations, even on the Vans Warped Tour once (with an old band several years ago), but mostly just do acoustic song work/writing. Taking a break now though do to my busy family/work schedule. I'll likely own the family biz outright in a few years, but I can't decide whether I want my wife and child and I to be tied down up here. She wants to move, and frankly so do I.

... ^^^ ... Tom DeLay started out as a "bugman" aka "exterminator" in Sugarland, TX IIRC and later made millions as a US Congressman (House Majority Leader).

Tom DeLay bio at Wiki (interesting reading on how he got started) --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_DeLay

Now you just need to run for the US Senate or US Congress and you will have it made ... :D
