Thanks Acdronin, if there isn't one announced soon I'd like to start my own around the San Jose area/South Bay. I'm new to having a tacoma and would like to meet some fellow truck-enthusiasts!

Gained about 3" of lift in the front but I'm guessing it will drop to ~2" once I put on my plate bumper and it softens up. I have the 650lb coils up front. I need to get some longer brake lines and just wait on my leaf springs.

Looks good so far. Still waiting for pics of the bumper on. I'm placing my order for Billy's gb when I get paid this week. You'll probably have to crank the coil overs again once it settles. I got #700 king springs to counteract the weight especially since I got ATO skids I still need to put on the truck.

Haha I'm waiting on my PIAA fogs to get in. I figure it's easier to put them on before the bumper goes on as I put my backup lights in my rear bumper after I put the bumper on. That sucked, trying to not make that mistake again. As for the 650lb coils, DSM told me to just run 650 unless I have a winch. I told them I probably wouldn't end up getting one for a while so they said 650 would be fine with my skids/bumper. I trust them :) Also how in the hell do you crank them down more? I undid the little bolt in there and tried turning them and they didn't budge. I was using the wrong thing to tighten them but still, that shit would not budge. Does using a spanner wrench help a lot?

Drive to where the pavement ends on SR 445 and keep going a few more miles after that along the west side of the lake. It's on the Paiute reservation; $12/night for 1 vehicle camping I think, a little extra for a fishing permit (I've never caught anything but a buzz, but there's huge fish on the walls at the Sutcliffe bar/lodge).

There's no campsites or amenities other than the occasional trash can once you get on the unpaved road. The 2 I like best have some shade and windbreak. The Willows has green trees because of a small creek. Monument Rock stays shady/cool up inside the right-hand side rock and it's a cool vantage point.

That's a nice place to catch a sunset too. I've never stayed there, always passed by (Yahacts). I would love to do the OR coast at a more relaxed pace sometime.

I was under my truck for an hour with a hose trying to get all the salt off the underside.
My friends live in Florence and I stay up there for like a week every year

I'm at Seth's right now and he is saying the easiest way is to take them off the truck. It's a matter of the weight of the truck on them that makes it hard.

Anyone know the stock measurements of the 2nd gen brake lines?

How do you hold them steady while you crank on them?
