My little brother is about to turn 15 and get his permit, so we decided that a toyota would be a great first vehicle. We bought the truck as is, and were planning on putting it back together.

Haha yes! I've only had 22 motors, and 4.0 v6's. This 3.0 has a new top end though. Did yours give any problems that I should keep my eye on?

No not really. The top end had been done before I got it so it didn't give me any problems at all. It actually ran pretty good and got me to where I wanted to go all the time.

Good to hear. This one runs very good and the transmission and clutch are tight. You didn't happen to change your transfercase From chain driven to gear driven did you?

No. I left it chain drive and it worked perfectly for me. Had I kept it I would have changed it to dual cases using the gear cases with 4.7 gears in the rear case.

I ordered 4" trail gear leaf springs for front and rear along with hi-steer kit today. I ordered it from my buddy Damien at MOBS fab, I got a good price, highly recommend him

Put some weight on those rear springs for a couple weeks, they will soften up nicely.
