Question for 09 Owners - Weathertech mats

Wondering if the Passenger side factory floor mat has any rentention hooks on the 2009 taco's?

Im ordering a set of weathertech mats online right now, and I havent taken delivery of my new truck yet.. So I cant check..

If someone who owns an 09 could check the passenger floormat for me, I would appreciate it

OK does the dealer install these hooks or do they come from the factory already installed.. Ordered new weathertech liners without the holes. Haven't got the truck either, expect it in this week. If it comes in with the hooks I can remove them, RIGHT?

 

They come from the factory like that. You'll like your Taco. Let us kow how the mats fit. I may order me a set.

 

I have a '09 and afaik I don't have hooks on the passenger side!

Also I remember a thread here or on toyotanation where many members had either hooks or none on the passenger side, it seems it's not standard!

I bought my 09 in Jan., dbl cab & it has them on both driver & passenger. Seems like they would be standard on all Tacos.

 

will do driving everyone nucking futs even when to the rail yards CZX distrubution center, They called the police because I was looking over the yard with binoculors .. got to talk to a super who checked the last 8 of the vin...wasn't on the ground yet..he took my phone # , said he would call the minute it showed up.. Had to show my shield ( just an old retired cop with to much time on my hands) really looking forward to this truck and I have owned at least seven ford pick ups over the years.

Can the hooks be removed with no problems...???

 

I'd contact the dealer or go by to see. I''ve never thought about taking mine out.

ive got an 09 trd sport dub cab and mine has the hooks and I have weathertech...

 

Yeah but I ordered the liners for a no hook application..just wondering if I had to can I remove the hooks as I would like the liners to lay flat on the floor....mine will be the same truck that you have

 

If yours doesn't have hooks talk to your dealer see if his will work & see if he will make you a deal on his all weather. You can check on line for Toyota's AS mats at a discount if all else fails. I'd been willing to bet yours will have the hooks, sounds like matter the later made 09's have them & maybe not the early 09's.

 

I'll make them work either way, just want the truck

I don't have the Weathertech, but I do have a full set of the Husky liners. No floor hook holes in them. I don't have to worry about crap leaking out the holes.

 

Could it be that the TRD models have the passenger floor hooks and the base or SR5's have none?

 

I would agree with that. I have an SR5 and can confirm no hooks on the passenger side.
