So I'm thinking about painting my skid plates. I've seen alot of people use spray on bed liner but the thing is I want to paint it silver and stencil on in red the TRD logo. Any suggestions on paints I should use? Durable stuff?

Did you need to sandblast first or any kind of prep? Looks good in the picture

I cleaned it good, then sprayed primer, paint and clear. I did not do any sanding, but my skid was in good shape. If you have rust or loose paint I would recommend sanding or blasting it.

I used a wire brush wheel for a drill and went to town on mine to get all the rust off it, then sprayed it with couple coats of primer and couple coats of Rust-o-leum bedliner. Its not real gritty and too thick, but its "ok". If I had to do it again I'd find a thicker more durable bedliner.

That looks good. I doubt that you will find a bed liner that is tough enough to last on a skid plate. Best thing is if you wheel a lot but want to keep it looking good is to use the cheapest paint so that you can touch it up more often.
I don't really wheel, so I used color matched paint and clear coat.

Man that red looks really nice. I cant decide between red or color matched (trucks lunar mist). I have blue tow shackles on the front, i wonder how a red one would look?
