I like the Hogue short stock due to the overmold. Same concept.

I'm pretty sure its legal because its 2 7 round mags side by side, as you have to select which mag. Cali and NY tend to have similar laws. If it's legal in Cali I'm pretty sure it should be in NY

That was my thought too, and I think I saw someone on NYshooters.net got one. However, I still have to find a dealer that believes the same and will order it.

Or order it online and do an FFL transfer. Many places won't carry what they don't think will sell, or they don't make enough profit on it. So find a reliable FFL you trust and order it and have it shipped. Every special order I have done are like the last one available or has highest wait list or just nobody has them as they are sold out. I have been extremely lucky on procuring specific firearms. As long as they are legal, if there's a will, theres a way!

Actually asked a local gun shop about transfers, but the only guy there was a younger guy that didn't know about transfers. Said I'd have to ask the owner. So I need to make another trip sometime and see what they say. I was looking at getting a couple AR-7's so the wife and I can have one in each vehicle, but the guy said $350 when he looked them up. Cabelas and other places had them for $220 or less. So I really want to buy online and have them shipped somewhere local.

Yeah, my first mod is going to be the butt stock. I saw a tapco extendable with a pistol grip on cheaperthandirt.com that I like. As far as the pro mag, what's qrong with it? I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet bit the mag seems fine. I would like to get more mags and ammo but I gotta save some mo money for that. Then eventually get an optics rail because it has a mount for that on the other side of the receiver. Then maybe a flash suppressor too. Any suggestions or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

The Tapco T6 stock is pretty good for the price but I'd go with something a little higher end then the Tapco Saw pistol grip. It'll do the job but it's not the most comfortable.

Yup, I like mine. I post it a lot, but I'm proud of it. All work done by yours truly. Holds 2"-3" groups at 50 yds with iron sights. I added a Krebs sight recently and haven't sighted it in yet but I'm hoping for even better.

    Fixed stock
    SaigaDone_2ca479548a2e321efc7b681c695f5691f4f99024.jpg

And after adding the ACE setup, prototype flash hider, etc.

And the SAR I sold to fund it, lol. Ran like a top but hard to keep them all on a pie plate at 50 yards.

Yeah, that looks like crap. Now that I see it on an actual AK, I don't want that. I do like the one in the first pic. I think my first thing to do is more mags and ammo. I am going to look in to the steel mags, and some bulk wolf or tul ammo. I am big on doing things my self, and thats why I chose the AK because it seems pretty strait forward. I have a great gun shop by my work that I could probably hit up for everything I need to do the job on the trigger assembly. I really appreciate your input on this. 1+ to you sir. You are one hell of an American.
