Don't know if your bumper braces back to the frame on the sides. Mine does so had a metal tab welded to that brace to hold the fender out. Put some rubber hose on the end of it to keep from getting any noise and then adjusted the tab so it applied pressure to the fender. They do not move at all now.

I think it is a good idea to leave the tab for such a thing. I would just be concerned with hard mounting a bracket to the frame. IMO the flex and twisting off road might cause you to dent the fender. Maybe if you can it back to the bed where is supported stock it should be the same as stock. Just a thought. I am curious to see what you do.

I had to do the same thing, I broke three sockets before saying F it and welded a bolt to the inside of the hex key. I just purchased a new one from the Stealer pretty cheap.

Advice on this: Run a bead of RTV down the door molding before you put it on. The adhesive that comes with the edge trim doesn't hold up to use, accumulates dirt, and will fall off later. The RTV will essentially glue it in place and also adds extra sealing to keep weather out, which you're gonna need up north.

this is sweet. I havent seen any other bumper that comes with something like that. I just have a regular washer and nut in there.. but that has to add some strength.
