By PNW I meant Vancouver. A few yrs ago the Pens were playing up there a month before the olympics. I had it all planned out to see the game and ski whistler, but the dates were just bad for us. Ill try again someday but Id probaly rather go in the summer.

Probably better you didn't go then, just because I'd have to imagine all the Olympic stuff going on would make things a PITA (unless that's what you were actually there for) -- was Whistler even open to the public that close to the Olympics?

Besides that though, I definitely recommend going. BC is beautiful and Whistler is fantastic if you're into skiing/snowboarding. The drive from Vancouver to Whistler is absolutely awesome...even in the winter the scenery is just unbelievable.

I can't stand the Canucks (the hockey team), but I'd still move to Vancouver in a heartbeat.

I used to say that about the Canucks too, until I moved to B.C. and took in some Canucks games . Funny, for the time I was in Vancouver, I always prefered ripping it up at Mt.Baker(given a day of fresh pow)

 

Groupon has tickets to the Providence Bruins for $16. I guess no one told them they would prob sell out if there's a lock out.

 

thats a bargain! get as many as you need now.

 

They are flex tickets too so you just walk up and the give you a real ticket.
