    So anyway, only thing I can think on the whole backwards bolt thing is the sheet metal isn't in the way at that level of the assembly and maybe the robot is left handed???

    Yes every truck is different. What Taco has glossy black paint on it's cab mount chop??? I'm the only one!! Yea buddy!!

    Chris suggested I just cut the UCA bolt and buy new UCA bolts from the dealer and install them in reverse direction. I guess it's easier to install the new than pull out the old... $22 for two new bolts ain't bad if it saves me time...

    How did you guys pop out the ball? I read there's a tool called ball joint puller? Sounds like a pissed girlfriend to me.

    Remove the upper balljoint nut and you'll see a flat spot on your spindle on the opposite side of the upper balljoint. Beat on it with a hammer until the balljoint pops out. If it won't budge, you aren't hitting it hard enough.

    :facepalm:Thats more work than doing it the proper way and moving a bit of sheet metal. All you need is a hammer and a punch and that bolt will slide right out.

    The hard way. Sheet metal is thin and is easy to bend, but it got done so thats all that matters.

    But I would just slide them out after bending the steel so I dont have to chase down new bolts. Hate wasting time running around for stuff, but thats my job so I am always concerned about time.
