So, ivebeen thinking about Getting new rims for a while now because my rims have been looking pretty rough. but I've been somewhat cash-strapped. I ran into this forum and saw how easy it should be and gave it a try. I am totally impressed these things look like new rims. Even a buddy of mine thought they looked like entirely new rims. They've only been on a few days so I'm not sure how long they'll hold up. But, for $12 for two cans of paint and a little bit of work, how can you go wrong? I'll post pics when I figure out how to transfer them.

but maybe an adhesive promoter spray before plasti dip would work better on glass:notsure:

has anyone plasti-dipped the rims without taking them off the truck? Just got new tires on and before i go cranking on them I'd like to know if there is an easy way of just spraying them on the truck??

Probably not a good idea to get overspray all over your brakes and stuff behind the wheels.

That's what I figured. I've seen so many interesting ideas on here I wasn't sure if someone had some kind of crazy idea to make it work haha. I guess I'll just suck it up and stop being lazy.

Same with me. But i just put some cardboard behind the tire to cover the breaks. It seemed to work fine.
