Thanks for the heads up Crom... It turns out they sent the basket rack instead of the flat utility rack so I will have to wait on the install until that is corrected.

Yes! Pictured below is a custom mounted "BajaRack mule" on Yakima rails. The second picture is the "Mega Mule." Both pictures link back to their respective threads.

If you have rails already mounted to your truck / shell, call into the Bajarack office and ask for John. He can assist you.

Pictured below is the BajaRack Megamule with custom mounts to fit directly into the Yakima rails mounted to the shell.

Dave, It is my understanding that if you want a BajaRack to be mounted directly to Yakima rails, then its going to be a custom solution and you'll have to work directly with BajaRack. My knowledge was obtained from reading threads here on TW. I don't have any special information other than that. In the images I posted above, they link to threads where owners posted their experience in ordering racks that were custom fitted to the Yakima rails. You can PM them your questions.

I recommend you PM Tacovendor your phone number so you guys can talk. Since he works for BajaRack, he should be able to answer your application specific questions.

Regarding PM's. I have only received one from you which was last night and I have responded to that. Not sure why you were having trouble.

Ordered mine today and just have to say GREAT customer service! Elizabeth (the receptionist) was even up to date that the new brackets will be shipping out with my rack. I apprectiate the extra effort from Tacovendor for corresponding with me over PM to work out me being in Afghanistan and being able to still order. It might be a couple months but when i get back to the States I'll post pics with the kayaks ready for stripers!!

Sorry, today is the last day of the discounted price?

I'm still waiting to hear if it's possible to have a cut out in either the flat utility rack, or the standard rack for a VHF antennae in the centre of the cab roof.

I'd hate to miss out on a good deal due to a break down in communication...

I'm in for one but I'm having trouble deciding between the flat and basket style. Can a LED lightbar be mounted in place of the fairing?

Led's can be mounted on either, you need to figure where you want the tabs, most people use Baja Designs 40" LED Stealth bar.

FYI as this group buy winds down this is a bit late, if you choose to have a mesh floor on the flat utility rack it is $150. extra. It is very labor intensive as every point of contact is welded and ground.
