Yea buddy, a lot of good spots that are close to ride up here in Bellingham & across the Boarder in BC. Next weekend we are heading up to Whipsaw BC. Not sure if there is any mtn bike trails up there but was thinking of bringing my bike regardless.

Thanks but i just had lunch....perhaps for dinner!

My bro just got scammed yesterday buying a GoPro - WATCH OUT! They are advertising them on craigslist hella cheap. With NEW packaging etc, but his was completely gutted and the phone number was instantly disconnected. He filed a police report etc and they are running prints on the gopro lol

I'm going with a set of 33x10.5s here shortly. As far as I can tell, only BFG, Toyo and Interco make tires in that size.

Wow. I am horrible at welding. welded a little bit for the first time today. my friend is pretty much having me do the full install on the sliders and letting me use his stuff.

not what i had in mind....

no other way to explain it than the long version, so...

cut through the sidewall on a 3" bolt in Naches
Schwab wanted $380 for replacement tire
4WD vehicles require all tires to match, in size, tread, and depth, otherwise diffs suffer... so since I don't have 5th and only Schwab really sells my tire... different strat needed
to circumvent this issue next time, I'm getting a matching spare on a matching rim so I can rotate it in.
My current rims never were meant for a 2nd gen, so reluctant to get another

    So, I had:
    1 Wheeler's steel with a Treadwright 285
    3 Maxxis 285 on Ultra 165s that I don't need
1 stock Rugged Trail on a factory steel
4 stock TRD OR rims with nearly gone Rugged Trails

This left me with getting 4 or 5 new rims with proper BS for 285s, or pick up a 5th TRD OR rim and commit to 255s.

Thought I was going to have a hell of a time getting a 5th TRD OR rim, but found a sweet deal on one, about $70 shipped from a guy in FL.

Total cost is going to be around $1500 or less, rather than over $2k going with 285

Seems like a lot of hoops right now, but will make things much nicer the next time around.

i plan on doing much better tonight.
we got the all 8 gussets on and 4 of the side plates on my frame.

should no doubt be able to get the rest done today.

need to finish up welding the 4 plates, only have a stitch holding them as it was late.

That's not very strong - i wouldn't trust those sliders with just a stitch. Could cut that with some scissors.... Why did you use thread to hold your sliders on?? :p:p:burnrubber:
