We got a good lesson in vehicle maintenance today... Turns out the reason my fiance's car died was due to incorrect spark plugs. It's a 4 banger so it needed the iridium plugs and the place that did the tune up didn't use them. It ran for 15k miles and just quit. Changed the plugs and good to go. So all you guys with 4 bangers, use the iridium plugs, it's worth it!

Also, anyone who's looking for a cheap commuter car, let me know! Comes with 4 studded snow tires :)

It's a 2006 Suzuki Reno 5 spd (manual). It has A/C, PS, PL, CD and a sun roof. It's right at 107k miles, went through the whole 90k mile tune up and also had the clutch replaced last summer. The A/C went out early this year, gave it a simple recharge and it seems to be working fine (not an A/C expert so I don't know if there was a deeper rooted problem but the recharge seemed to work perfectly). 2 of the tires on it are within a couple months old, the other 2 were new last summer (about 10k miles ago). The studded snows have been through one real winter and we put them on for about 1.5 months this past winter. If they have 4k miles on them, it'd be a lot. The studded snows are not mounted, tires only and they're General tires. I have the Carfax report printed on it also. It has been in a couple fender benders. All damage was cosmetic, no work to the structure, body or any of the mechanical systems (engine, transmission, suspension, etc) were ever repaired. All body work was professionally repaired.

I was going to list it on Craigslist for $2,000 and list the tires for $300. Realistically, I'd like to sell it for $1,500 without the studded tire set, $1,750 with them.

It's a 4 door hatchback. Here's what it looks like, color and everything:

They weren't terribly expensive brand new. KBB puts it at around $2,500 so I'm hoping that listing it for $2,000 with an accident history it will sell. You're right though, normally you can't find much for under $2k.
