Hello, my name's jake and i have a taco i recently bought. Im a complete rook when it comes to builds and lifts and all that but ive always wanted one as my friends all go riding. I used to own an old toyota pickup with rancho lifts and a roll cage with a bimini top. the truck rolled and they cut off the top hence the roll cage. I got it that way from my stepdad and that truck was a beast back in its day. unfortunately i had to let it go. Now I want to have my own build. This is my attempt on a budget and inexperienced build. So be prepared for tons of questions bc i dont know sh******t:D.

Heres my yota when i first took it home...

First order of business is to get it nice and clean...

that should increase my MPG for aerodynamics!

First thing i am itching to do is give it some black wheels...that little touch will just give it more of an edgy look IMO...
I cant afford to get some new wheels so i will just be painting my stock wheels satin black.
I went to autozone bought some 80/320 grit sandpaper, a can of primer, 2 cans of satin black wheel paint, and a can of clear coat. Here it goes....
The top wheel has that grayish look after being scuffed up a bit...
$35 dollars and half a day later i get the first 2 done...I like how some parts have some roughness to it....i guess i could have done a better job sanding. Unfortunately I ran out of time that day so I will be driving around with Black on Back! :D:D:D:D until later this week then i'll post a pic of the wheels back on the truck.

I would check out ALLproffroad.com and also try Toytec. You need UCA, Leaf pack, rear and front shocks.
