What's This Thing?

Anyone know what this is? It's located underneth the dash below the cubby hole and DAC/VSC buttons. The black cover that says OBD II snaps over the harness.

A-TRAC for the Flux Capacitor.

 

That is the port the inspection stations plug into. Do not mess with it, move it, or break it or its an automatic fail on inspections

 

Thanks. Is that plug on the passenger side against the wall by the floor mat for reading codes?

 

No, the OBD II port is for reading codes, thats what the inspection station is doing is making sure there are no curent or pending codes

 

i have no idea what you are talking about , i read codes through my obd-II port

 

No inspection station within hundreds of miles from here!

 

Pic of what you are talking about. Can't see, only box with ? For me.

 

Ultragauge's plug into it if that gives you some sort of idea of what the OBD reads out.

That picture is just a picture of a plastic screw.

Turn it counterclockwise and it will come right off, it's used to hold the carpet down.

You have one on the driver side too right below the plastic piece used as a rest for your right foot.

 

I saw those 3 holes in it and allways figured it was a port to plug something into.
