    I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
    what kind of jack did you use to get the ass up high enough? I have a good floor jack and had to stack 6 pieces of wood on it and still couldn't get it high enough to let me put the aal in.

    I used one like this one stacked on a 4x8 (long side down) and a 2x4. Did you unbolt the rear shock?

    well I had to do what you did, 4x2 after 4x2 to get that ass up and still wasn't high enough. i had to reposition the axle closer to the front of the truck.

    yea, we had it on floor jacks. when i realized i wasnt going to be able to get the rear high enough to get the center pin through the bottom of the leafs, we had to push the axle forward to make clearance you know?

    hm. guess i'm not sure what your talking about. thought the driveshaft would make it hard to move the axle forward.

    getting there....
    the u-joint will help it "bend"....move outta the way a bit.

    yup what Will said. Im only talking a few inches here, just enough to get clearance for that long ass center pin bolt.
