Just a thought here...ever thought of doing something other than carpet? Laminate...lots of cool options there and looks super clean when done. Or vinyl? Tons of options there too.

Why do you have the crossovers back there, ive seen them like that in MR Marv's boxes too, doesnt it take alot more speaker wire?

Well I thought about Fiberglass (shop quoted me 150) and I would have to leave it their a little while (no wayno I have no backup vehicle) cause I want it to blend into the factory plastic kinda... I dunno its hard to explain its easy to show

I dunno what laminate is or looks like, do you have some links?
I was also thinking about putting some black plexy on it in spots to shine it up a bit... theirs some finishing touches I can't release yet But I would need smoothe shiny surfaces to do them... So the laminate Idea might work(if its what I think it is of course I have no idea what it is) cause my fiberglass dreams are out the window(due to the lack of a backup car)

With precision cutting
See when fits are so tight to a certain degree they will hold themselves in place unless alot of force is applied so i could push it into place but ima have to take the speaker out to remove it
But remember too tight and you will be pushing certain things around that you don't want to...
course its wood surrounded by metal so it all fit very nice

just google laminate...you can see how many options are out there. Think outside the box and open your mind. It's not too difficult to install. You will need a router with a flush cutting laminate bit to trim things.

Any flat surface can be covered, then you cut out the holes you already have cut. It'll be super clean when you are done.

Maybe even a combo carpet/laminate finish? Just laminate your amp rack? Or just the face of the sub box? Lots of options when combo'n things.

you know what would be sweet is a wood laminate, its just a thin piece of wood that you glue to whatever, need lots of clamps though, but you could have it in any kind of wood youd like

 

no, the thin countertop plastic type stuff. It comes in all sorts of colors and patterns.

The wood veneer Burg suggested would be cool too if the rest of your interior went with it.


What about polished stainless sheet? That would be some serious bling behind the back seat.
