dude they were saying yesterday the NHLPA was walking into today strongly opposed to the offer.... really really dissapointing that both sides cant see the current struggles, both sides bring up good points, but the owners are no longer about the game, just lining them selves with gold in their pockets

 

are they in ny?
if so we can take a collection and i will pay them a visit

 

Go there anyways and break all the shitter pipes. Offer to repair them once they reach a deal.

Yes, but the season will start in January

^^this could be said for both parties. Everyone involved wants more money( And we are talking about millionaires and billionaires). Keep in mind only some of the owners teams are making money. Many teams lose less money if they don't play at all. There are serious financial issues within this business that need to be addressed. Unfortunately the union and the league are on completely different pages on how to do this. This will be awhile IMO.

 

Well, The Great One was just coming onto the scene when I was a young kid, so the first hockey team I remember being a "fan" of was the Oilers (hey, it's natural to be a fair weather bandwagon fan when you're 7 years old!). Of course as I grew older, I became a fan of my local Washington Caps (through the good times and through the crapitals times). Perhaps my dislike of both the Canucks and Flames is still rooted in my old fondness for the Gretzky Oilers?

Living on the east coast, I don't exact get out to BC very often, and I've never had a chance to ski Mt. Baker -- maybe next time.
