I find it sad that thing can do more than my truck can.

 

I cant tell if its awd or what kind of tires it has. and didnt have the time or patience to wade through the BS comments to figure it out. but im curious.

im sure having the engine over the rear tires helped.

 

They did alot of rallying back in the day with 911's and other cars. Now they have the Cayenne for that. They have some pretty cool dakar versions of it.

That 911 is only rear wheel drive.

 

Fyi porche did not make a awd 911 till the 993 body this one is clearly a older one so it is just 2wd. Looks like it's mid to late 70's.

 

Definitely a 2wd but rear engine/RWD is an interesting combination. Took Porsche 40 years to figure out how to take the snap oversteer out but it makes for an interesting sports car/rally vehicle/off roaring mix if you really want.

 

Had two Porsche 964's that were AWD. a 1989 year model and a 1992. And as previously mentioned the 959 series was introduced in 1986 with AWD as well.
