Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Really? Seems even for surface rust it would have to be wet for a subtantial period of time, my 05 doesn't have any rust there, and use my bed frequently.

And on a side note I did think of a way or ways this could happen. Leaving stuff in your bed that may retain moisture, softball bag or such. Or possibly even perhaps if you got a truck full of mulch and let it sit in the bed for a couple days until you get to it. Hmmm.

bracket IS the same.... yours just has gussets. Same shit. Why are you arguing when you is clearly wrong.

one to close to my house....what you doing up in my neck of the woods

That was the last of 17 doors being installed. Job was to be completed today. The guys hung it while I was there and then we started talking. It literally blew up on it's own in front of us.

Turns out the glass fabricator did not put on the rubber isolators and grommets so the glass was being compressed with raw steel.

Once I found out the issue I had to have my guys pull down all 17 doors and inspect them. Ill have the parts to me tomorrow via UPS/Sat and Monday we will inspect them and re-install them.

The building owner went from totally pleased to screaming in my face in .0000001 seconds.

Now I have to back charge the supplier for the labor and my time. I love my job :(

lol.... you telling me that is like me telling you how to plumb. Keep it to the pro's. Have fun at the beach. Ill be sitting in shore traffic for 2hrs tonight when I leave this crap hole.

Pull the bolts and put anti seize on the threads. The rust is normal.

Toyota's rust like crazy. All my bolts were covered in the first year.

You should check your bed bolts. One of mine is totally seized and will not come out. Tried for weeks. I even drilled a hole in the washer so I could spray PB from the top down. Only way it's going to come out is with heat or drilling it out.

Your telling me. The manufacture is going to get the bill, but it still sucks. Now I need to make sure I'm home tomorrow so I can meet the UPS guy

All depends on who made the part. My 08' bed bolts were totally covered by rust. Also your opinion of bed use could be much different then mine.

3 scoops of bark mulch, I think around 1000lbs. Track sits level when it's empty, and I barely felt this load, I was very happy with it!
