Agreed. And it should include a hi lift, breaker bar and torque wrench.

I like chinns lake. I ran up their early in the season and there was huge tree down at the lake so you couldn't go all the way to the end.

it was too big to winch without cutting it up first and I didn't have my ax with me...not to mention I don't have a winch, haha. So we just camped there.

We got up there friday night. On Saturday morning, we had several drunk jeepers yelling at us because we parked in the trail as there was no going around that tree. Then they saw the tree, grumbled, and just left.

Edit: Only one of the Jeep guys was easily confirmed as drunk. The other had a beer in his hand but was questionable.

im in need to rotate my tires, and do an oil change. my blood itches not that I dont have any tools out here. I want to store some essential sockets and wrenches in my bag when I go visit CA in 2 weeks, but i dont think the airport security would like that very much.

    Sunday 9/2

Easy run up behind Central City maybe over to Kingston's peak. Going to"pop the cherry" on a certain person's newly lifted truck. :D

Nothing crazy just some fun and learning. All are welcome.

    NO SCOOBYRUS :D

    Meet time: 9am - 9:30am Leaving at 9:30 sharp
Where: T-Rex lot off of I-70 exit 259. Lot is on the northeast corner of I-70 and Morrison Rd.
    CB channel 2

We will cruise up I-70 to Fortune Valley Highway to Central City. Then behind Central City. Going to pick a route from memory (or use Bob's book ) from behind Central City over to the north side of Kingston Peak. Then take KP back over dropping into Alice. Down Fall River Rd. back to I - 70. Depending on time might make a side trip up to Loch Lomond Lake in case you fishermen want to bring ur poles. :D

I don't know the name of the route behind Central City but here are the other 2 on TD:

    http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=14
    http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=71

Should be a relatively easy day. There are some spots where you can venture off the main trail for some challenge. A stock rig could run this. Lift and tires would be nice. There are some tight spots so be prepared for Colorado Pinstriping. Stock skids should suffice.

Take I-70 or U.S. 6 from Denver to Highway 119. Take this through Blackhawk to Rollinsville. Turn left on F.S. 149 and go about 5 miles. Just past Tolland turn left on F.S. 176, the start of the Mammoth Gulch trail. About 1.5 miles in continue straight to what becomes F.S. 353 (do not take F.S. 183 or F.S. 176). This is the trailhead for Kingston Peak. Go straight again at 2.3 miles. At 3.5 miles follow 353 to the right and go 8 more miles, bearing right three more times (do not take F.S. 175).

Thanks. But this has us going through Rollinsville. I was going to head out behind (west) of Central City just beyond the Cemeteries. Kind of in the Yankee Hill Road area. There is a way across there that brings you out on Kingston by the mudd puddles. If memory serves me correct it is 175 stated from the above but we would come up it in the opposite direction.
