Il just disconnect it when I go wheeling. I didnt like how it handled on the highway today. i could just see a deer running out in front of me... il keep it on until i go wheeling :)

Once you have stiffer coils that'll help tons too. I've never had stock coils so even when I took mine off with it on my first set of coils it wasn't bad

True, insurance will pay for a deer collision...not a self induced roll over..

Seriously doubt it. Having a bad CV angle even at rest will blow them faster, not allowing additional travel in the suspension. If you're seeing enough travel in the suspension on the highway to blow up a boot, you have much bigger issues to worry about.

Exactly. My mom rolled a car back in the day avoiding a dog. Absolutely drilled it into my head to never swerve...unless its a semi or something haha. Invest in a good bumper. I nailed a deer at 55mph straight on with my Badlands bumper and only felt the tires going over it. Only "damage" was some smudging on the bumper's powdercoat. If you live out in the sticks or somewhere, where the deer are thick an aftermarket bumper can pay for itself in a hurry. I'm constantly having close calls with the darn things.

I have been running with out a swaybar for 5 years now. I commute 33 miles one way to work....

Stiffer coils and higher quality shocks will eliminate body roll.

Just drive the truck like a truck...and you will be fine.

Seems there a lot of guys here running without sway bars, but I would not recommend it on the highway. It is easy to say you won't swerve when something jumps out in front of you, but it happens and instinct takes over.
Also, there might be issues with insurance if you do roll it and they realize that you had the sway bar disconnected.
Maybe I am just old, but I have experience, including rally driving experience, and I would not run a truck on the highway without a swaybar - there is a reason why manufacturers install them.
    Just my opinion.....

I agree with you, but that's exactly the problem. You and I might not jerk on a steering wheel, and know not to hit the brakes when you slip, and so forth, but 90% of the population don't know these things. Tomorrow they loose control of their trucks and end up in a head-on collision with my family - therefor I don't want to recommend anything like that to anyone.

As far as the insurance issue, I have seen it all. Insurance will look for any little thing so they don't have to pay. Even worse, if you are in an accident, whether it is due to the sway bar or not, some lawyer will find out that you had a disconnected sway bar and BAM, you are on the hook.

    Sad, but it's true....

Thanks x2! I cant take ALL the credit though. I picked up where the first two owners left off. The 2nd owner is a close friend, and it helps buying a used vehicle to know where it's been and how it was treated.
