    Any of you guys had to replace the oringal wheel bearings replaced. MIne took a dump last week :S

    handling not sure...but I did hear the BDS suspension has a nice ride.

    The installer recommends a 6" lift, one of the reasons is based on this picture of my UCA...there is strain on my suspension due to the downward angle of the dangle on it (i added the dangle part). Are you guys set up this way? with a 3" or 6"?

    Plan on taking alot of pics of the install too....just in case somebody else decides to do the DB install themselves later, the pics would be a good tutorial. The instructions that came with this kit aren't the greatest.

    Still haven't decided on wheels....tires will probably be 35" KM2's or DuraTracs. Plan to do the fender hacking & body mount chop while everything is still on the shop lift.

    I don't know....yours looks pretty damn close to the DB trucks. By the way, whats the offset & back spacing on your wheels? I see you're running the 1.25" spacers but DAMN! Those wheels look HUGE sticking out like that...so whats the specs?

    maybe its jsut me i dont know...guess i need to find someone around with a db lift to compare, everyone around is either stock or 3" Also, does it look like i can clear 35s?? i believe i can with minor trimming maybe?

    You did it the right way for 2wd, you could clear 35's just CMC

    Majority of people on TW talk about wheels needing 4.5" backspacing.....can a wheel with 5" BS be used without issue? Seems that most of the Pro Comp & XD wheels I'm looking at have 5" BS with 0 offset.:confused:

    Started the lift install this morning....entire front end is complete except for a few small things (10 hours of work already). The good news for me is that you can run 16" wheels on a Pro Comp 6" lift with VSC. The Ivan Stewart TRD wheels I have are around 4.5" back spacing & I added the 1.25" Spidertrax spacers. Every thing clears....the tie rod end is very close to the inside wheel lip.....around 1/8 of an inch clearance. This is almost the exact same clearance that my brake caliper has inside the wheel too.

    Truck is still on the lift tonight...should have the pics by Thursday. Working on the rear end install tomorrow.

    Honestly with my lift and air tools I can do a drop bracket lift in 8 hrs out the door...maybe cuz I've done so many?!? Not sure but 20 hrs seems like a really long time...10 hrs is about right for complete job with somebody that's never done it
