it's funny that a bunch of guys here just discovered glass, so now theres a bunch of trucks running around with 6" race glass even though the front setups are 265/75r16's on stock-ish suspensions

a few with db lifts too

    Hi Cody,
Wolfpack_5150 recomended me to you related to
    my 2004 Tacoma TRC 4x4,
I am not doing much offroading and it is stock but need to replace struts
and I was thinking about 2.5" or 3" lift for mainly a better stance and also for little bigger tires as I want to get new wheels and tires.

Brock was great and sent detailed response and also said to check with you as you were knowledgeable on the first genertions Tacomas.
He also recomended Downsouth Motorsports who i checked with and the
guy I spoke with said the simplist was to get the Bilstien 5100 ride ht. adjustables set of 4 and set at 2.5 ". Brock recomended to check with you.

    Appreciate any advice.

    thanks,
    RAS3310, rick

according to my asian math budgeting, the truck will have AP UCA's by christmas, as well as goodyear MT/RK tires
but I still have to fully decide on the tire size.

and custom PC'd BAMF LCA skids are in queue
they will start the armor process.
by summer, the truck should (again, by asian budgeting skills) have a new front bumper (decided on AP's hybrid, unless something dissuades me otherwise)

with these jobs lined up, 2013 should be a good year for tiana!

jumped in the GB jerry had before I was really going into armor mods
was too good of a chance to pass up.
..and my LCA's are scratched to shit from lava and coffee

had a once-in-a-lifetime chance for relentless sliders, but crap came up so I couldnt get them.
sliders and whatnot are in the plans once I can find a reliable welder

and it turns out I may have a set of custom sliders built for christmas time, so custom sliders + Custom PC'd BAMF LCA skids + AP tubular 1" uniball UCA's + Goodyear MT/R Kevlars are in the works for december/january

    Here we goooo!

I'm tryna get rid of all of my vibes once and for all, since it's still my dd. 55-65 gets annoying as shiiiit since that's pretty much the fastest you can drive on island. Once I get my exhaust rerouted and the CB drop back on hopefully everything goes away

that and my ball joints up front look like shit. I have a clicking coming from somewhere up there....

as far as tires I'm just looking for different M/Ts. KM2's are too soft for lava rock, I have whole lugs missing in my tread. I'd be fine with chunking km2's but since they're kinda worn down they suck gorilla testicles in the rain.

Sounds like some good upgrades in the near future! I only have 4k left to spend this year :(

You could look into Cooper STT's, they are a good tire as well. I don't mind the MT/rk, I thought about getting a set...

with the expos you need the CB drop. that'll help a lot. the UCAs aren't gonna do shit for that haha

my Upper and lower BJs are completely shot too hahaha mine also pops every now and then..but its done that since i lifted it :notsure: Lisa had the same thing with her 5100s and 881s..

And to soft hm? wow..well i hope it doesn't put a hole in the MTRs haha not sure what your other options are really at this point..idk of a really hard compound MT..thought KM2s were one of the hardest tho..

    KM2s suck in rain???...no way..hahah :p

I wish I could complain about having "only 4k left"
4k could cover the sliders, tires, uca's, a new bumper, new rear bumper, and still have enough for coilovers  :p

I got the CB drop for 5" lifts, so I think it's too long for just the expos. when I put it on I got a MEAN takeoff shudder. plan to throw it back on after I get my shackles back on and see how things work

I've been hearing a lot of good things about the MT/RK's, where did you see the sidewalls tear?
This is how my km2's looked awhile ago....they've gotten a lot worse
but even then lugs were chunking off
    [IMG]

and holy shit, If the road to my house is even slightly moist, I need to throw tiana into 4wd just to make it up :(

my clicking ball joints scare me....

I found a ton of grease around my passy LBJ....

I had major clicking ball joints... that's no good man..

And my money this year will go to finishing paying off the tires, fixing my entire front suspension and mostly the rear. Fixing the rear locker, new driveshafts f/r and a potato. :D
