if this is true, then there wouldn't be anything under the hood to show anyway; right? all the plumbing would be in the fender well...

I wouldn't want to unbutton my fender liner for you assclowns either! :p

well douche bag thread of the month goes tooo!!!!

hopefully the OP comes and posts the important pictures and the functionality of it all as the guy who got given one clearly only care about his truck looks

and has not a single care about helping the community instead of himself

    Wow guys really?

First off... testing the snorkels isn't a wise idea if the rest of the truck hasn't been outfitted for it yet (as in, sealing the cab, protecting the electronics, re-routing breathers so water doesn't get into the diffs, tranny, ect)... let alone this is still a brand new truck that perhaps he's not ready to submerge the truck and get the carpets wet and all.

It seems to me the company got what they wanted out of the deal, and he got what he wanted out of it.

Sorry I'm so late to the party...

I haven't checked this thread in a while and it looks like it is time for me to answer some questions for all of you.

First, my Name is Mark and I'm with Expeditioneers LLC. Expeditioneers manages Airflow America. Airflow America is the sole US importer for Airflow Vector Pty Ltd AU.

I'd like to apologize for not responding in a more timely manner.

    That being said...

We had a successful install on a 2012 single cab 4cylinder truck a few weeks ago.

We are looking forward to releasing this kit to the masses but we need the factory to make some adjustments on the plumbing in order to make this a DIY project.

Here is a photo of the complete kit.

I have submitted all (adjustments) to the factory and we are awaiting fresh parts so we can continue with the test procedure.

I want to sincerely thank Jason (2012 Tacoman AZ) for his patience during the install and his ability to jump in and help. It was a long hot 6 hours.

A few of you were looking for more detailed photos of the plumbing used in the fender to tie the snorkel into the factory airbox.

On Jason's truck there was no modification to the airbox, in fact the engine bays remained 100% stock.

Airflow uses rigid elbows and flexible hose for the connection. Airflow has found that they don't distort as easy as rubber to maintain the correct flow the the engine.

Here is a photo of the assembled unit (after modification).

Here is a photo of the unit tucked into the fender well, we do have to modify a bracket to allow room for the diameter of the pipe.

Here (again) is a photo of the finished product.

Someone commented on the air ram design. Airflow has designed the air ram for maximum flow. Air-flow is the number 1 priority, form follows function as they say... ;)

I look forward to the next round of installs as we ready this product for the marketplace.

If any of you have any questions, please contact me.

    Regards,
    Mark

We are still testing the fitment for the 4 Liter motor. It all comes down to the position of the airbox.

It is my understanding that the airbox changed after the 2011 model year.

Retail cost has yet to be determined.

    More to come...

I really need to use the few remaining to test fit.

I need to fit a few more variants to make sure that the kit is ready for market.

Then we can sell to the GP.

I understand waiting is the hardest part...I'm a huge fan of instant gratification myself.

Not sure as we haven't seen that scenario yet. Send me some pictures of the airbox, especially the part(s) when it passes into the fender opening...

If someone local has this set-up I'd like to take a look first hand as well.

Hey Kyouto. What do you think of your afe CAI? I'm looking into getting a CAI along with a Snorkel. I have looked on here about CAI and it's a lot of mixed opinions about them.
