so clay isn't clay? 3m clay is $29.99 for a bar....no thanks - I don't have the loot like you do to spend on wax + my truck has more pin stripes then not.....some through the paint. I just wanted to stop the oxidation.

gotta remember I have 4 years worth of build up on it.

the only time I ever used a polisher is when the clear coat is gone and mines not quite there yet. i don't trust myself with one, but thanks.

I want some old school lead paint. that way if I'm bored I can eat the chips.

haha.. i keep giving positive rep to people that I mean to give neutral to. They are probably confused by the negative comment and positive rep.

No all clay is not created equal, many different levels of aggressiveness. I would give you some if you would just ask. Oh and I guarantee that my trucks paint has more pin stripes.:(

There are different types of clay for different pain conditions. You needed a more aggressive clay.

With the DA, it is next to impossible to burn the paint. You would have to hold in place with a heavy compound for like a minute to do any damage.

we shall have to compare next month :spy:

I had no clue there were different clays. I had been using the same mothers stuff for almost a decade with good results. I just never really took the time to take care of the Tacoma like my last 2 vehicles. Now I know I should of...VV...

My hood is fubar. Right in front of the stupid shwepz it's really bad. I have a feeling it's got issues under the clear coat. it's foggy looking. let me see if the pics came out.

I did as well. I had to get around to the oil change though as it was before Moab since the last one.
