I only use it for parallel parking and hitching up a trailer. I also use it occasionally when I'm doing a 3-point turn in my parents' driveway. Otherwise I just look back.

I have been wavering on getting 1, my rear window is really dark. So, I have not been in an accident for at least 15 yrs. Backed into a 2009 Venza(sp?). Wavering is over, going to get 1.

Yea! It works better than I thought at night. I just ran out and snapped a few pics. All of the lights were off in my garage so everything in the pic is in view because of the reverse lights. I'd say it works pretty well.

Not a great quality pic, but here ya go.

What did you do with your stereo? Is that a GPS in you're using as the backup camera video? Very nice.

Damn, I wish my GPS was compatible to be a monitor. I just can't justify spending the money for something this NEAT.

Yup you just have to have the right equipment ( as in a monitor, the camera, etc)!

How does the camera know when the Vehicle is in reverse? Is it hooking up to the transmission? Im wanting to install the new 09 backup camera and mirror in an 06 and Im wondering if it would hook right up?
