    doing a write up on in-cab winch controls, been at it for 6 hours and still not done. it's kicking my ass just because I wanted it to look stock as fuck and I also just mounted my solenoid under my hood lol

    I don't plan on winching while I'm in the cab, the recoil of the cable could easily come through the windshield and cut off my head :) The control cable is 10' long so I will be all the way out of the cab for any winching. When I switch to synthetic rope I might go that route.

    Well it's not just in cab controls, I am also wiring up the winch with new #4 wire, had to run new #16 for the control wiring from the passenger side under the hood in to the cab and had to mount the solenoid so it wouldn't rattle or be loose, made 2 trips to home depot as well :)
