Alright guys, I hate to repost, I've run a few searches and posted in a few threads with no luck answering my question. I recently had Billy 5100's and Toytec / Eibach coils installed. Toytec's site says that their pre-assembled combo come "Preset at 3" Lift Adjustable with C Clip for additional weight." Does anybody know which setting that on the 5100? Mine are set on the highest, and I ran into a few threads last night that made that sound like the end of the world. And basically I'm not trying to ruin a 30 thousand dollar truck over an inch of lift. Any thoughts??

    Thanks.

Here's a pic of my setup:

Shit just saw the new coils.. You better lower that to the second notch. .85

so basically you have 2.5+1.5= 4" of lift from the coil-overs....no bueno. You dont want to preload past 3" unless you have extended travel coil-overs you can do 3.5"

You're not going to die but it's not good to preload those coils that much. Why did you set them on that setting to begin with?

From what I've read Billies with Eibachs should be set no higher than .85"
    .85" from Billies + 1.6" from Eibachs = 2.45"

Okay thanks for the responses. I got about 6" of lift up front (with tires that added about 1.5"), so needless to say I was a little surprised, but it looked sick. Ride is def stiff as a mother, like I could probably get my front end off the ground with a good speed bump.

I guess I'll tell the shop they need to drop them, I told them to model the lift after what Toytec sells.

So essentially 1.5" lift provided by the coils and then add X for whatever setting the 5100's are at?

Yeah, they're a 620# coil. Stock is around 540 so yeah, they're a stiff coil even when set at the 0 setting.

on 2nd gens you don't want to go past the 2nd ring, otherwise you're getting too much lift

So you can set the 5100's at .85 or 1.75 with 885 coils??? To give you more than 3 inches of lift? It'd just be stiff?

Not recommended at all. Some including myself are running 885s with 5100 at .85 but do not go above that. I know someone who did and his shock blew out. Snapping it.
