Does anyone else have an issue with their passenger seat back rocking or shaking a lot when going over bumps in the road (I won't even get into what it's like off-road). I spend a lot of time driving alone and everytime I hit a bump, the seat back shakes significantly. If I grab it and shake it, I can move it a bit without a problem. I cannot duplicate this with the drivers seat as the seat back seems to lock in pretty solidly. It seems that although the seat back is locked in, there is still a bit of play in it. Before I bring it into the dealer to ask about it, I was looking for others opinions on this.

Anyone else? I guess I'll see what the dealer has to say about it. I'm sure I can rig something up to tighten it if they don't have an answer.

I've noticed it on my 08 and my pops 09. I tried to stop it by putting it in different recline positions but to no avail. Let us know what the dealer says.

i think its more pronounced on the 09 due to the passive restraint headrests...or whatever they're called. they integrate the seat and headrest more, which i'm taking to make it more rigid. bounces all over the place on my 09....never noticed it on the 07

Once the dealer says its normal and there's nothing that can be done... the only fix would be to add some weight to the frame up high to dapen the vibrations.

Most seats do this in cars now, unless they're heavy power ones.

Yea, I have seen my passenger seat shake a lot when I am traveling at higher speeds. Just reacts to the vibration of the tires.

Need to take care of a few unrelated issues with the truck so I'll see what they say.

I guess I'm just not seeing how this is in any way a problem. The truck shakes me sometimes, should I take it in for service?

it's a problem because it is poor construction. I have the same issue...took it into the dealer and they said they "tested" 3 other trucks (new) on the lot and they all did the same thing.

my passenger seat is a 09 fold flat seat. bugs the hell out of me!

    any fixes?

I thought i read someone hear had the seat replaced under 3yr/36K warranty? if it's NORMAL why does the driver seat NOT do it?

maybe related to the seat being a fold flat seat?

6% Tint all around, Toyota all-weather floor mats, Toyota bed extender and skid plate, Python 991 remote-start alarm, oem cruise control and class III hitch were all installed within a couple months. I then installed Icon c/o's and Icon's 3-leaf aal with 17x9" GA9's and 285/70/17 Goodyear Duratrac's. The DRL mod was done, as was a custom rack setup similar to the org. cross bars. Blacked out headlights bought online, and a BOSS 1500 under-seat sub installed along with a Pioneer double-din DVD player
