    Ok, here is the debate that I have received multiple answers to and I don't know which way to go. I am looking for a lift kit and settled on Toytech's Bilstein 5100's with Eibach coils and rear 5100's. Then the debate started. I heard the ride is not that great as compared to stock and is much stiffer. I had a few sugestions to go buy Icons, which are a few $100 more because the ride is better. I just read that Icons ride better only at high speed and not really on the streets.

    So the questions is since this is a 5100 thread: how do these ride on the streets as compared to stock or other shock/coils (like Icons). I need to pull this trigger but want as much info as I can get from those who have the 5100's.

    '08 Prerunner, looking for about a 3" lift....

    Okay well any coil that lifts the truck is gonna be stiffer then stock..

    either way, if you can afford Icons, id save a bit more up and get some Foxes or Kings..might as well.

    but the Billies ride great regardless.

    bilsteins are in the middle of the market, good quality for a good price

    My truck rides so much better now(with 5100's and eibachs) compared to stock coils and tokicos. It almost rides too soft now....almost.

    The added weight of a plate bumper and a winch contribute to that softer ride.

    Look at build!
    Funny. When i removed my bumper to move it in an inch or so and make the skid mounts i thought it rode better without the bumper and skid, but when i added the winch it got pretty good too. Just want some synthetic line for it now!

    How long are the toytec Eibach 620# coils before being compressed and mounted? Anybody ever measure them?

    5100 shocks all around, Trailmaster 2in spacers in front, add a leaf and shackels in rear, 33in Super Swampers,
    5100s all around. Front is set on middle grove with trail master spacer.
    The rear has AAL and lift shackles.
