On the way back to camp near Clear Lake in Silverton, Colorado. Got some insane hail and stormy weather. But the sunsets with the clouds were amazing.

Was there wheeling involved? Or just driving into camp? I'm anxious to see how you like your new lift.

Did a little wheeling. I would consider it light or easy, but I'm coming from a jeep lifted and locked on 37's that I rode hard and put away wet. Went up a good bit of Engineers pass and flexed it a little just to see how she did. So far I am loving the lift and the improved feel of the truck...few complaints that I have so far

    1. drive line vibes (to be expected, still addressing this)

    2. seems that the Emu shocks are a tad short to me as I get that over-extended thump when they droop out (no biggie, just something I experienced with the jeep when I put on too short of shocks, does not affect performance in most situations)

    3. Got the squeaky creaky sound in my Dakar leaf pack and they are only a week old (hosed them down liberally with WD40 on the trail and it was gone before I got back to town)

    4. Couple of noise complaints: a slight popping in the front end on driver side, metallic click in rear on passenger. (both noises are most likely from stuff loosening up because I did not have those at the beginning of the trip. I always go back through and re-torque everything after the first few trips and it has been my experience that a few bolts just got loose)

    5. CV angles are fairly steep with my installed top plate spacer, but truck sits completely level so I am hoping time with get it to sag a little (knew this going into the lift)

I also removed my sway bar when I installed the lift, so I have a little more movement in the turns at speed that I am not too fond of. I am currently fabricating an E-disco out of it though to kinda split the difference. Also need to do the cab mount chop as I got really close to clipping it, I am sure I will hit the cab mount if I stuff the 285's.

All in all I am very happy with the OME lift. I personally would do this very same set up again, and feel that I could in good faith recommend this lift to a friend.

The Total Chaos UCA's are extemely nice and gave a better feel and response to the truck over the stock ones. My only complaint with them is the exposed ball joint. Debris can very easily get inside the ball joint I would think as it basically pools up at the top and just sits there. Going threw a few mud puddles I noticed plenty there. I might have to think of a way to put a boot or sock over it to help prolong that joint.

Did you do the diff drop? Heard mixed reviews about them, but the cv angles would be better. I'm sure that means that you mess with the geometry somewhere else though.
I would like to invent a uni ball boot, probably make good money from that.

Oh and are sure over extending the shocks doesn't harm them? I can't imagine that it's good.

Well guys you can definitely feel fall up in the mountains, Its getting colder and colder. I honestly think im going to be unhappy if i move to Arizona. But i may have to due to health reasons as im currently working towards the task of being put onto to a transplant list for lungs :( Doc says moving to AZ might be alot easier, And being at sea level would help alot... Hate to leave the beautiful state of Colorado!!! :(
