All pros site actually states that their shackles are only 1.5 and 2.5" longer then stock. So only 3/4 and 1.25" of lift

    Toytech makes a 1" amd 2" lift shackle (5.5" and 7.5" long)

Day star also makes a 1.25" lift shackle (6" shackle)

Stock is actually 3.5" not 3"

stock is 3.5 from eyelet to eyelet? ok so a 6 inch will give 1.25 in of lift. sounds right

Well, the first week of archery season passed by without a bull or buck in the freezer, but I did get a nice bear.

Pretty good for a 40 year old recurve.

Pro tip: do not shoot a big bear with a bow. I crossed a stream that was full of salmon and didn't even think about bears, I was deer hunting. I got across the creek and was wading through the bushes when I met this little 400 lb furball at about 10 yards. He was woofing at me like a dog and snapping his jaws. He turned and slowly sauntered off, but I couldn't get a shot so I went around the bushes and he scooted up this cottonwood tree. I only had four arrows. Two went into the sweet spot but only one made it into a lung. He came out of the tree jaws a poppin' and I put one more into his shoulder (only shot I had) and he stopped. He was busy biting at arrows and I was busy working up the cojones to get in close enough to finish the job. I let the last one fly and ran like a girl. He had 2" of fat and the old 55# recurve just couldn't punch into the vitals. It got kind of dicey there for a minute, lol.
