Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Hmmm, good advice, I have only thrown it in the dishwasher.

Well while we are on microwaves, I'm sure it is not a huge secret, but I only learned it about a year ago.

The best (and a safe) way to clean your microwave, put a microwave safe container (coffee mug works great) about 2/3 full of water and cook it for 8 minutes. The steam will loosen all the stuck on sauces that splatter and kill any bacteria as well. When it is done, just wipe clean with a paper towel. This also does not introduce any chemicals into the microwave that can come from your cleaning supplies.

beef chuck roast, package of french onion soup mix, cut up some onions and carrots, 1 cup of water in the bottom and let it cook. Make some mashed taters when you get home and have a hell of a meal

Anyone made their own sausage before?

I'm looking at doing some beef snack sticks and maybe some Italian sausage next weekend. I'm just looking for some tips if anyone has done it before.

I just got a new Crock Pot on Saturday in exchange for being "friend with a truck" on moving day... haha

    I made this yesterday: http://cooklikeyourgrandmother.com/2008/12/how-to-make-crock-pot-pork-tenderloin/

I used red sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes & deglazed the pan with chicken broth instead of plain water. I seared the pork with a couple sliced-up strips of bacon in the pan (and some coconut oil) because I don't keep bacon fat around.

Strip? My favorite steak. We call them KC Strips around here - do you guys call them NY or KC Strips? I'm always curious where the line is drawn for the naming convention.
