Yeah a cricket that can bite the living shit out of you!

Anyway, I am working on the Jeep right now, figured it was a good time to start the coilover install, so I grabbed a sawzall and cut all the front suspension off!!

    No turning back now!

So far I cut the stock mounts off the top, cut a hole in the sheetmetal so the shock tower will go into the engine bay, I built custom lower shock mounts and welded them in, and got all the measurements I needed.

I still need to build the towers and upper mounts and a crossbar that connects the two in the engine bay for support. I also need to get bump cans so I can mount the air bumps where the stock bumps went. Hopefully I will have the coilovers mounted by the end of the day, going to be a lot of cutting and welding goin on over here today if anyone wants to watch, lol.
Once I get the fronts all mounted then its time to start hacking away at the rear! But I still have the Ford 8.8 I bought ready to go in, stil need to get a bracket kit for it, and then I am ready to build a full custom long arm suspension system to compliment the coilovers. Then I still need to buy some air bumps for the rear with cans and I should have a real Trophy Jeep!

If you guys thought it was going fast for a Jeep before, just wait till this season, gonna be a different deal. Hoping to be able to keep up in the fast stuff while still having the ability to climb just about anything. The awesome thing is I will still have less than $10k into it! Not counting all the free hours I put into it, otherwise it would be a $15K Jeep by now.

Even after all that stuff it can still get stuck in big ruts, hahaha!

I took a bunch of pics of the progress so far that I will post up later even though this is a Tacoma forum...

Ugh, dead battery this morning. Was wanting to get an Odyssey but I guess a Diehard Platinum will have to do.

Generally when someone teases you, its cause they like you ( or at least tolerate you). Its when no one talks to you, thats when you know they dont like you.
