Cobra cb and 3' cb antennas, headache rack, bed rails, blacked out logos. Goodyear wrangler tires. Second gen Tailgate badge. Hella 500 series black magic lights and 500 series lights on top, led brake and turn lights on my headache rack. Custom Bumpers i built myself.
Off for laborday weekend to finish my new bumper and get it mounted! Always love when a project comes to an end. [IMG] And of course pics will be added in detail, Ill be slightly altering the first gen stock mounting for the new bumper to be stonger and held by more bolts (All Grade 8). Still need to weld my license plate mount on, shackle mounts and the mounts for the truck and plate it of course, I think it will look 10xs better than my current zombie bumper, weigh less and be all around stonger. Welds are a hell of alot better. (OLD PICS, taken before i did my bed bar lol)

Man I envy those of you with pictures of projects and a plasma cutting table in the background. I can barely manage to cut a decent line with my oxy/act torch.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
It's designed around the SWAG Off road roller dies and his are designed around the HF Tube roller. So i went with the 20MM so I didn't need to find bearings to fit his dies.

But mine is kind of on a limited use right now too until my compressor is fixed. Waiting on a pump gasket kit from Ingersoll

I have been having problems with the height control for a wile now. TM said it was my ground in the building and told me to get it tested (I didn't no time ) "well that sucks" In auto mode the height control would not stay .06 of the plate wile cutting it would jump up and stop the arch. So all this time I cut in Manual mode it works great on thick stuff but thin sheet was a pain because it never lays flat.

Long story short a rep was in the area and stopped buy to see how everything was going. I told him about the problem he jumped on the phone and got the lead tech on it. Turns out it was the mother board on the control box not the wiring in the building  so I have another one in route that wont be here until the 4th :(. I can cut without height control but screw that noise I'm spoiled :D glad he came when he did my warranty is up soon and i would of been pissed.

Damn that sounds like a load of crap that the mother board just took a dump, good thing you still had warranty like you said!
My AVHC gives me some headaches, but its always the electrical properties varying from one sheet to the next that messes with it so a little dialing it in for the new sheet and it runs perfect again.

On another note, I called ingersoll yesterday around noon, 10:30am today UPS shows up with my compressor pump gasket kit from them. They next day aired it to me, and had them shipped within the 2 hours left before they closed yesterday(east coast). Got to give ingersoll some props there!
Hope they gaskets fix my problem and its not the pump cylinders or something more major.

Blaming the building ground these days is kinda lame. Maybe in some hacked up wiring but most commercial space is plenty good.

Glad TM got it straightened out for you.

Yeah the Voltage reading was just way off so it didn't know where to set it in auto mode. It should be good now :D

Hi guys im sure the answer i will get is "look it up on google" but im looking into buying a welder. I have only welded once or twice in high school, but i want to learn how to weld. So im curiouse what kind of welder i should buy i tried to research the diffrence between the diffrent volt welders and really just got confused i understand that more volts can weld thicker metal but thats about it. I was thinking about just picking up a cheap ($300) welder of craigslist just so i can really get the hang of welding before i go all out and buy a thousand plus dollar welder, i want to be able to mig weld is the biggest thing but from what i have read there are diffrent kind of units that do both mig and tig i think and some stick and mig. So any advice will help on trying to find a used one on craigslist they have alot on there from $100 bucks to $2000 so i just need to know what volt, amp, etc. Welder to look for to start out thanks for all the help guys please dont flame me...

You could also go back a couple of pages and see the answer to your question there. It's a question that's also been answered more than once in this thread.

Just don't buy the Harbor Freight one.

Look for a Miller 140 or the older version of it, the Miller 135. I have the 135 in my garage. Great starter welder. I'd offer it up to you but the motherboard took a dump a while back.

My first 5 welds ever. Done with a 90 amp flux welder. Would like a bigger machine, but limited to 120 volt in the current house. Any suggestions? I'm going the self taught route. Started with bottom weld and worked to the top in the pic.

All input is greatly appreciated! I'm here to learn.

More heat. If you're maxing out the machine you need thinner material. Otherwise it looks pretty good, the consistency and pretty looks will come with practice.
