    It's a midwest thing, more specifically people near KC. I've heard them called KC strips, but only because I was in Missouri. In Iowa, they still call it a NY strip.

    i live 3.5-4 hours from KC and i've never heard them referred to as "KC Strips".....even at steakhouses in KC, sounds made-up-ish

    I have some beef we got from a locker close to KC and all of the strips were labeled as KC strip instead.

    The pork tenderloins came out great, next time I might use more garlic but it was really good and not dry. The meat was 145 degrees when I shut the cooker off. And today at work my coworker stole my lunch so it must have been good. :/

    Thinking about salsa, you guys should check out Mrs Renfros Mango Habanero salsa which is medium hot. It is the best tasting salsa I have had lately. We used it on everything lately so good. I always like Mrs Renfros salsa but this flavor is the best.
