man this thread is huge! All I was trying to do was find a few people from Huntsville to chat with. Hopefully moving there in a year or so and wanted to know more about the area and housing. Didn't know there were so many Tacoma drivers!

I give Parker 2 trips to break something and he already had one!

Adam, if you have any questions about Huntsville, let us know. Not a bad city for most things, but not a great place for night life.

so i read the first and last page of this (which is how i do most books, magazines or instructions if over 5 pages long) and was wondering if this became an alliance and if it were still accepting members. im from a town called danville, which is about 15 mins from hartselle, which is about 10 mins from decatur, which is about 20mins from huntsville. (Danville is about 45 mins from huntsville if you dont go through decatur, just reference closer locations for those who may know about hartselle or decatur).

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
No alliance, just people within the state haha. Hell I don't even have a taco anymore and I'm still here.

    Brian, welcome back!

Sorry I've been gone. I ended up buying a house and have been swamped with work.

Parker, are you still up for Hale Mtn this weekend?

If you are living in Alabama, you are in....nuff said!...lol

    Brian, welcome back

    Dave, happy late birthday

Thanks to everyone else who wished me a happy birthday! It kinda sucked because I spent it pulling out my transmission to replace the release bearing in my clutch because it was making a little bit of noise that I didn't like. Other than that, had a good day.

I have been to Winrock in Tenn before with the Nissan group I was with at the time (This was when I was living in Florida) and we had a blast. Some really nice trails, and we enjoyed it because of the wide variety of trails for beginners to hard-core. I wouldn't mind going again, but off-road trips are going to be thin for a while. Kinda struggling here a bit. Made enough last month to make payroll for my two employees, but not enough for my own paycheck. lol. I need to drive some more customers in here!! We have figured that we will have to do some active advertising, just trying to figure out the details.

Yes I do. No problems with them so far. A few other people have them also. Just can't remember who else.

I saw the GB on here for them and thought about getting a set while they are cheaper. My alignment is fine but my truck doesn't feel very stable at about 60 and up. Time to bite the bullet I guess.

Just make sure that when you take it to have it aligned, that they know the big bolt on the caster / camber adjustment on the UCA has GOT to be torqued to 175 lb ft. Less and it'll slip.

If you want it "done right" tell them to set the eccentric adjusters on the LCA's to dead center, then get it as close as they can with the UCA's. Torque the UCA's to spec, and then don't touch them.

From there fine tune with the eccentric adjusters on the LCA's.

That will give you the ability to have a "normal" alignment shop do an alignment without having to charge you extra for screwing with the UCA's.

For what it's worth, that's the way Scotty and the guys at Southern Offroad do it, and it costs a bit more the first go round. After that though it's easy peasy lemon squeezy.

That really has only been an issue once or twice. Caught a hell of a deal on a foreclosure in river landing off zierdt. 3200 sq ft, 3 car garage. All it needs is paint (good thing my dad owned a painting company).

This makes me nervous, the majority of the alignment shops around here don't even know what an adjustable uca is. Where is southern offroad located? Lol

That sounds good. I believe there is already talk about having a meet late winter, early spring.

    Thanks!

hahaha to be honest it probably won't last long. I just hope it won't be the spider gears or ring and pinion. The diff was a pain to take out and put in friday night.

Regarding the tubbing, I just beat it with a sledgehammer, really hard. It ended up pushing it back enough for the tires to fit so i went with it.

haha im in the middle. I guess 5 to 6

unfortunately not. Its a bit of a long story but i got grounded because of SETO. I will attempt to talk my parents into it, we'll see what happens.

    The UCA's should help.

Yes, but you should be looking slightly northwest of the corn. Grilled corn is popular at a lot of tourist places.

I've been thinking about going down there for an alignment and to get a tab welded. Firestone said they couldn't adjust the LCA because one of my tabs bent.

Exactly what they had to do for me. Dealer broke the tabs on the front.
