Honestly, if you are even considering doing the lift yourself, you might as well just use your stock coils and assemble them yourself. I'm thinking that if you are going to buy the 5100/coil preassembled, they are likely going to be lift springs and add more lift to the front than you are wanting right now....someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Unless you go with something like this, which is adjustable from 1"-3".....

    Too many to list now.
Haha the only suspension component I have upgraded so far is my UCA's. I don't intend on putting them on until I order my icons, but they are important, to reinforce what was said in this thread. For me they'll give an extra inch of down travel as well.

You can get stock height coils with most of the adjustable coilovers. Just set the collar down and you should be at or close to stock height. Most of the adjustable coilovers get their lift from preloading the coil, same idea as that Toytec one you listed.

I've been within spec with the 3 inch OME for 50k+ miles...STOCK UCAs.. to each there own I guess. Slight wander at 80+ mph, but the roads here suck too..all good here. Save the money for rims OP

As mentioned in the thread, "Within Spec." is at the extreme ends of "Good". And the specs change when lifted. So your "In spc." might be the case for a non lifted truck, but once lifted, you now need different specs.

Yeah, until you wear your tires prematurely because your camber is shot in order to get a semi-reasonable caster number...

I had a 3" lift on my 2001 tacoma with 32" bfg MTs. Perfect alignment and stock UCAs. Had this setup for 10 years and two sets of tires with great wear and drivability on and off road and highway. Are the 1st gen different??

I just bought a 2014 but my old rig had no issues at all with a 2.75 lift over 10 years. Only two sets of tires. Soooo... do the 1st gens have no issues with this or does this really depend on who does the alignment? If they are the same (1st and 2nd gen) then I would think the stock uca may be "ok".
