Well me and Mark finished the full hydro on my truck. Wow is all I can say after it was completed.

We started off by finishing the resi mount. You can see the bracket we made, it ties into the battery mount, radiator mount, and the core support on the front. STOUT.

Final mounting location of the resi.

We had to hook up the supply line, cooler lines and many of the other lines to finish the line work.

It is a tight fit and works perfect.

We had to cut off the main radiator hose to the block from the bottom of the radiator and shorten it 2" because it was kinked, the 2" shorter cut worked perfect. There were a few wires and relays and vacuum lines that were moved out of the way so it would not rub on the steering shaft.

For the cooler I don't have a clear picture, but you can see where it's mounted under the grill, behind my winch when I ever decide to install it.

And underside shot of the full hydro completed.

Sweet man. I will be testing it out this coming weekend. I can't wait. It turns on pavement so well now. I couldn't turn on dirt from a stand still from before.

No. No feedback from the wheels whatsoever. And if you lose pressure for some reason...zero steering capability.

Thats why vehicles with "power steering" are really only power assisted steering so there is still a mechanical system ie. rack and pinion with which you can steer.

And thanks for the compliments guys! This was the first hydro steering I set up, but have worked on/designed dozens of hyraulic systems for work.

I am glad Eric is so happy, it really turned out perfect. And it turns soooooo nice.

So I just spent the last 2 hours reading your build. I gotta say, awesome all the way man. One day when i can afford to, I'm gonna find me a cheaper 1st gen to make a full trail rig out of and keep the one I'll be making payments on for a while mostly stock. I'm jelly bro, awesome truck. One day, I swear it haha.

couple pics of mine if they work. had it for 2 months, my second truck. first was a 98 2.4 2wd, that i sold to my older brother when i bought this 2000 3.4 4x4 5sp a couple months ago.

love your build man, cant wait to really get into one like you have.

first pic was the day before i bought it, second is a little creek bed around here, third is all cleaned up, fourth is after the first rain after i got it.

It was cool getting to see your rig this weekend. I hate I couldn't see it in action more. We had to go back, buddy broke an axle shaft at a step-up in that really long creek bed.

No bueno!! It was cool seeing your rig in person too! So clean and nice. My truck didn't perform worth a shit over the weekend. Too many problems...

Truck was overheating, blew out 2 shocks, rear locker was toasted previous going (worked sometimes) tires out there didn't work well due to it being a mud tire, high elevation drained my HP... ball joints were fucked so I had to take it easy too.

Did your buddy break a rear or front shaft?

Can't weld it anymore, don't have the spider gears. It is the powertrax no-slip. I think I either sheered some teeth off the driver side, or broke some pins. When I broke the rear axle last trip I was being pretty hard on the truck... AND I MEAN FUCKING HARD... I was bouncing like crazy.
