OME 3" Lift (885, CB Drop, 2" non-TSB AAL) BHLM Debadged Tint allround
    Hey there,

Just got a 2006 TRD Sport DCLB and I want to slap a 3" lift on it.

I've done lots of reading and it seems that OME is good lift that will suit me.
90% of driving will be on roads and hwys. I will offroad ocassionally on weekends.

My first question is do I want 884 or 885 coils? I will not be adding weight to my front end. Do both coils require a spacer to achieve a true 3" lift.
(I plan on getting LR UCA with the group buy)

    And my big question.
Do I want the OME shocks or should I get Billy 5100's?
From what I gather 5100s can be run at 0 lift with OME coils.

I was thinking of getting these. &

Instead of getting the entire OME kit for 734.99

and what is a front diff drop? Do i need it?

EVERYONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT AND POST YOUR OPINIONS!!!

btw my budget is about $1000.00
If you know of something better lmk

    Thanks guys,
    Travis

Where could I get a OME CB drop? Cant find it on toytec.

Also you think getting toytec to assemble the coils/shocks with new bushings is worth the 100.00? I will def make the install abit easier

Are you installing this yourself ? Do you have access to a spring compressor ?

Yeah I plan on installing it myself.
    How hard is it?

I lowered my colorado that required me to compress coils, and I dont want to rent that thing again. I cant imagine this lift would be too much harder.

What makes OME shocks superior to the 5100's?

You can go with the 5100's but you can't use the OME driver's side trim packer with them

    Get the coils assembled

Also if you are going to go OME , you can get a good deal from OUIPACK , and not pay huge shipping and brokerage

Why would the OME trim packer not work with the 5100's? I think that when you get the Toytec kit it give a trim packer, is this another brand of packer or? If i can find somewhere to get all or almost all the components for what i want in canada i am going to go that route.

Also if using 5100's are the stock bushings used?

The OME trim packer only works with OME shocks , it mounts below the coils seat , the lean spacer for the 5100's goes at the top

You can use the 1/4" top plate spacer with both the 5100's and the OME shocks , but you cannot use the OME trim packer with anything but the OME shocks

    Interesting.

You are the first person I've heard of on here with a bad experience with OUIPACK

I was just looking at the same thing from ToyTec. Can you post some pics when done? Are you still planning to set the 5100's at 0? I'm wanting to level mine, but moderate lift about 2" (i.e. 5100's at 0) for a good ride and no preload.

Ninety and myself went with OME 885's with the top plate for a full 3"
