one and only downside I can see is in snow driving on the road will be different with it open. test it out in a parking lot before you take to the road so you know what to expect. going from mechanical LSD to open is a different ball game.

I'm clueless and know no one here has blown one so IMO I would ask Chase at ECGS. He is a pro and your buying his product so just pick up the phone and give him a call tomorrow.

I can do one leggers for a hundred yards, cut the wheel and do them with the other tire for a hundred yards in the snow.

That looks pretty normal to me. You're gonna have shavings throughout the life of the diff. You should have seen what came out of the crawler and lefty during the break in.

 

yep. looked the same last time I did them. I would think the 2009's might look better due to lack of mechanical LSd, but who knows. Front always looks great...besides the nut I had to have a buddy weld on it

Its actually a bolt and was a throw away as I just got a new one from Yota. I smeared a shit ton of anti seize on the new plug.

 

use brake cleaner....and shop rags and lots of it....
pull out your axles and shooot it down the tubes as well....
you will have to bleed your brakes after that

that didnt help mine...
still need to get mine done so i can change it.....
why u no just leave the bolt welded to the plug bolt....
isnt in the way of anything....
