I'm as guilty of this as everyone, but if you don't watermark your images, then don't be surprised if they show up on eBay shilling a cheap product.

I know I've seen this cutoff picture before.... if not here then on FSC...

    liftedhidcutoff.jpg

The image is being used to sell DS2 to H4 adapters.
It's a very nicely machined piece of aluminum with a reflector shield.
But there's no way that the depicted cutoff came from any "plug and play" HID burner and a stock reflector.

Don't know who it belongs to... if the owner of the image sees this thread, here's a link to the auction:

I would expect people who shoot for a living to be aware of that, but not everyone is aware of why.

Seems every couple of months someone posts a thread about someone on eBay or Craig's using pictures of their truck... and sometimes an accessory manufacturer will do it.

    I like Gimp. http://www.gimp.org/

It does 99% of what "Joe Average" needs out of Photoshop.
It's not a "drawing" program, but it can be used to add borders to letters by selecting by color and outlining, and a bunch of other tricks.

Doesn't matter if it has a watermark or not..people will still steal the image without permission and use it for advertising on a commercial website. My truck has appeared a few times on websites, the most recent is the dudes who sell the konig rims I have lol..

The intent was for the person who originally posted it to see it.

I looked and can't seem to find it.

LOL, watermark your pictures before the eBay seller watermarks it and claims ownership.

Beam pattern looks like an LS460 retro?

I'm really thinking that I saw it on FSC.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was part of a comparison between a guy's CTS and his Suburban with drop-in HID... and he only had the drop-ins installed long enough to image the cutoffs. He yanked them and went to a projector retrofit.
