Can't see whats in the bed...

I am used to having a reg cab truck. When I would haul something in the back I could turn around and look through the window to check on it. Now I have a double cab and can't just look back there. I do tie my items down securely but for my piece of mind I still like to check on it. Is there a camera or mirror that I can install or will I just have to get used to not being able to look back there?

 

I haul my dog a lot and I am constantly looking back there to check on her. Both through the rear view mirror and by turning my head to look through the back window. Although when she is back there I always leave the slider open as well. The only time I have trouble seeing her is when she is laying down.

 

I suggest hiring midgets to monitor and manage the load in the back.

The camera sounds complicated and interferes with the stock wiring. Sounds prone to problems too.

The mirror solution seems simple and reliable.

 

You can purchase after market cameras that mount on the dash and they don't interfere with wiring and a monkey could install them, in Canada we buy them at Canadian tire, and they are about 100 bucks and work great.

Maybe get a topper or a canvas top, wouldn't be able to see it any better but peace of mind knowing the wind did not effect it.

 

Just get a midget, put him in the back and have him give you a thumbs up when all is good. Then when something goes bad have him do a dance, and wave his little arms around frantically.

 

When did the price hike happen? Now all my dreams have been crushed...the chances of me owning a midget are now very slim.

haha, its probably a good idea to get things taken care of before dinner. i absolutey refuse to "get close" for a couple hours after i've eaten. i hate doing any kind of moving on a full stomach. So i guess before dinner is good, then about 3 hours after you can go at it again
