    Hello everyone!

I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 and unfortunately I believe my vsv for my egr went out unfortunately I cannot locate it :/ I'm new to my Toyota and I'm hoping I might be able to get some feedback on where I can find it so I can get my baby running right.

Thank you for your time and I greatly appreciate all information

Welcome to TW! When you mention your VSV went out, was there a code or what? I think it would be a good idea to verify the failed part before buying a replacement. Can you give us some background on what you had found so far?

I believe that the EGR VSV is located directly below the throttle body, in the 'cave' formed by the intake manifold. Hard to get at without removing the throttle body. When my 2.7 thru a P0401 code a while back, I had thought that could be the problem, but it turned out to be the EGR temp sensor. Removed that, cleaned it real good, and re-installed it. No issues since.

    Hope this helps.

under the intake manifold, its green in color , you can remove it if your hand is not to thick. use long phillips screwdriver to remove one small bolt, put a sticky something to screwdriver end to hold bolt, its easy to loose. disconnect elect. plug . disconect vacuum hoses from egr equipt and pull out.remove any spacers from tubing before easing it out. good luck.
