I did a 1/2 bottle Sat and the other half today. LOTS of smoke, still today. Should I think about doing the same thing with another bottle? I have 126k on the clock. Maybe run it the rest of the tank? (I can't believe how much smoke...)

if you already ran a bottle thru.........i wouldnt run anymore thru the the intake. i'd add some to the gas tank and let it clean it that way. too much thru the intake can be bad for the catalytic converter.

I've seen conflicting advice on this:

Some people say you let the brake booster line slowly suck up all of the seafoam being careful not to kill the engine b/c it'll cause damage.

I've also read that you let it slowly suck most of it up, then jam the booster line all the way into the seafoam to kill the engine... If you don't kill the car, run and shut it off.

    Let the debate begin.

i have done it both ways.....the first way you mention being most prevalent, and have had no negative issues this way. the 2nd way you mentioned.....have had it happen(car or truck choke/shut off), but with luckily no negative effects.

I'm really iffy about doing this still... everyones trying to convince me to do it though.... I have 56k on my truck atm... thinking about doing it to the civic though, I'm sure it would love it at 250k.

Just for everyone's info I came from the Jeep forums and we had 300+ guys use seafoam. Two came back with codes cussing......within a day they both came back realizing they forgot to reconnect a cable. :) I use it on everything and love it. I have never put it in the crank case though. I reserve marvel for that.

I seafoamed my Taco, blew out a big chunk of smoke, and after changing my oil I got 31.3 MPG on the highway on the Garden State Parkway!
