I got my ome front springs in today, but there is a slight problem:

    6456465_4ce9095fdeda1391286e50f0b3aba4e242ea9df4.jpg

Shouldnt the springs wind around the shock evenly all around? The right one is off, but the left one is actually impacted on the shock.

I ordered them pre assembled cause I didnt want to have a problem like this. How do I get this fixed guys?

I'm not exactly sure what's going on there but it doesn't look right. Maybe the springs are upside down?
    Where did you order from?

It looks right. Normally the nut at the top dosent hold the spring, the top strut cup bears the force of the spring to the vehicle. When the strut is assembled but not installed then everything looks funky and there is lots of pressure on the top nut. It will work itself out when installed.

Remember the one with the trim packer goes on the drivers side.

bad info bud. when the coil assembly is off the truck like this then yes, the top middle but DOES hold the spring in place. undo it and you could be in some serious pain or even death.

installer should have rotated the spring to get the correct alignment before compressing and putting the top plate on is my guess.

one of two things is wrong here. Either the bottom of the spring is not sitting in the perch correctly or the springs are installed upside down.

if you look at the bottom right picture it looks like both of them were installed upside down. the "top" of the spring should taper out a lot more and have a very flat surface to sit flush against the top plate.

see how flat the top of this spring is

I dont think they are installed upside down after looking at that more closely.

The left (drivers) one differs from the other one at the bottom, the end of the spring isint sitting on the bottom plate where the notch is for it, its rotated around 1/3 of the way. Ill get some pics up shortly of what im seeing.

I ordered from a vendor thats well respected on here. Ill tell who later after I hear what they have to say and will do about it. I wont pass judgement on them without giving them a chance.

Assuming the passenger one is put together correctly, this is how the drivers side one differs from what I can tell:

This is obviously the issue, yes. Not having the spring tail in the slot would cause it to compress unevenly. If you watch the "easy" (no spring compressor) shock install video you can see how rotating the spring around the shock can bring the shock to center or cause it to push to the side like yours is.

If the vendor won't send a calltag for the shock and spring, you might get them to refund $20 so you can take it to a garage and have them fix the issue. Should take 10 minutes.

Disclaimer - I have no shock experience but I have read every thread and watched every video about them in prep for buying a setup. I have one million internet spring/shock credits.
