thought i did boyd, but here it is.

Monday - so truck breaks down in md. overheating. pull over, losing radiator fluid main belt torn up. get towed with certified preowned roadside assistance (7yr 100k miles) tow truck driver leaves us at dealership ::edit(closest was in newark, de)::. closest hotel is a few miles walk for us (me, my fiance, brother and sister-in-law. was told by locals at wawa not to walk the few miles to hotel because area is terrible and also, we didn't want to bring suitcases along with us walking the streets at 12 midnight. call 3 taxi companies, no one comes to get us. called back said on way, no one ever showed up. so we slept in the truck infront of the garage to the service station.

Tuesday - when dealership opens.and they inspect the vehicle, they say $1034 for radiator (which they said had a leak after pressure testing it) new hose and new belt. fuck you, its warrantied no paying it. They say belt ripped due to faulty install from previous documented dealership work ((alternator change) have an extra one :D ) so icall toyota corp and say, i have every warranty, even if is faulty work from previous dealer, im not paying. long story short, i get to asian person in corp hq in california and they finally approve to have vehicle towed to nj (160 miles or so) get us hotel to shower, pay for all food cost, etc. tuesday night when tow truck finally comes at 8pm to take us 4 to nj, less than 100 yds from dealership tow truck blows an axle and we are stuck. at 1 am the replacement tow truck comes to take us home. approx 5 am, the 4 of us plus driver make it home in a 3 seater rig, miserable.

wednesday - toyota states field tech from corp will come to inspect vehicle.

fast fwd 3 days - tech reports after pressure testing radiator, no problems. just need belt and small radiator hose. spoke with corp that obviously in newark, de, where dealership inspected vehicle ( they obviously dind't pressure test radiator) did a shit job. they were just trying to extort money from me, and how unhappy we were with this. they ultimately paid for all expenses and missed work for the 4 of us. (estimated pay) cost toyota well over $1000 dollars for $150 worth of work. files attorney general complaint and bbb complaint against dealership so i can scar them as much as possible.

certified preowned with the platinum coverage is the shit. part of that warranty is towing, but also hotel stays up to $150 a night and food expenses all included in that coverage. well worth paying for cert p.o.

i think thats all of it boyd. any ?s

and not so happy with most md people, not one came to help us, let us shower, take us out of dealership. and we spent over 24 hours there (from when we were towed in until we were towed out. poor love for fellow taco owner and tw member. not that i gave a shit, but for at least the women that were with us.
